Remembrance Sunday at the Soviet Memorial

Irene Glausiusz from the Committee promoting a UK Children-in-War Memorial Day laid flowers on Remembrance Sunday 8th November 2015 at the Soviet Memorial in the grounds of the Imperial War Museum to remember all children lost in war – whether in past or present day conflict. This is especially poignant during 2015 when we see so many refugee families with their children, escaping from war torn Syria or other troubled regions in the Middle East, who are trying to find a new home within the European Union.
Tributes were delivered by Cllr Dora Dixon-Fyle, The Worshipful Mayor of Southwark, Alexander Kramarenko, Charge d’affaires, Embassy of the Russian Federation and Neil Coyle, MP for Bermondsey and Old Southwark.
